Tasting Trip 2020 in Argentina
5 Great argentine malbecs
Every April 17, International Malbec Day is celebrated, the flagship strain of Argentina despite being a grape originating in France. This varietal represents us globally because it found its best expression in these lands, with labels of the highest level recognized by specialists in the field throughout the world. One of them is the American critic James Suckling, who every year produces a report on production in our country with which he considers the best wines of each harvest.
James Suckling, one of the world's most relevant wine critics, former senior editor of Wine Spectator and head of the wine department of the luxurious Asian magazine Tatler, tasted more than 1,500 wines on his recent tasting trip to Argentina and stated that this year's tasting was the best for Argentina. "The country shows more delicacy and allows the various terroirs to shine in so many excellent wines now, and it was, ofcourse, the Malbecs that shone the most."
